Seeking Medical Assistance
A sexual assault medical exam ensures that physical injuries that may have occurred are promptly identified and addressed, individuals receive medication for the prevention of pregnancy and STIs and evidence is collected by a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and preserved should the victim/survivor decide to initiate a criminal investigation or university complaint, either now or in the future.
