Overview

Medical and PA students can choose from more than 50 registered student organizations at CCOM. Organizations include specialty interest groups as well as groups focused on service, hobbies, and more. CCOM student organizations hold various events throughout the year including networking events, guest speakers, procedure clinics, and service opportunities. Events are often highlighted in the weekly OSAC Happenings Newsletter and can be found on the OSAC Happenings Calendar.

“As someone who didn’t know a single person before coming to Iowa, my conversations with student org leaders throughout the application process played a large role in why I chose to come here. Through the various affinity and interest groups, I have been able to further develop my leadership skills, build relationships with upper classmen with similar interests, and broaden my clinical and personal interests of what I hope to do with my medical degree.”
